Building Brilliance Day Care LIC

We are a licensed daycare facility in Long Island City, NY catering to the busy parents of our area by providing exceptional care for their children. Our childcare center serves children 1 to 5 years of age.

At Building Brilliance Day Care LIC, we are pleased to participate in the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) Child Care Voucher program. That means eligible families in New York City can use vouchers — instead of paying the full cost themselves — to enroll their child in our center.

The voucher program is designed to help cover the cost of childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years, and up to 19 years for children with disabilities. Child care vouchers may cover all or part of the cost, depending on income, family size and eligibility criteria.

Next Steps for Enrolling into our Voucher Program

Here’s how you can move forward with Building Brilliance:

  • Schedule a Tour: Contact us at contact@bbdlic.org or call 718-750-1001 to book a visit. We’d be happy to show you around and explain our toddler and preschool programs.
  • Interview & Observation: If you’re still interested after the tour, we will set up a meeting with your family and child. We will conduct an interview and an educational observation of the child to determine classroom placement.
  • Accept the Voucher: Once the child has been approved and the voucher issued, we will enroll your child and begin the program using the voucher as payment. The vouchers are called ASC Vouchers or NYC Administration for Children’s Services Vouchers.

How the Voucher Program Works

    1. Eligibility & Application
A family must apply for a child-care voucher through ACS, meet income and reason-for-care criteria (e.g., working, attending school, or other qualifying reason), and the child must meet citizenship/immigration status requirements.
    2. Choosing a Provider

Once approved, the voucher allows the family to choose among licensed or registered childcare providers across NYC. It is the family’s choice.

    1. Enrollment at Our Center
At Building Brilliance, once you choose us as your provider, we’ll work together to complete the final steps of enrollment including voucher payment coordination.
    2. Voucher Payment
Instead of paying traditional tuition, the voucher covers the childcare cost (fully or partially). We accept the voucher as payment in the same way we handle regular tuition.

Why Choose Building Brilliance with your Voucher

  • You get top-quality early childhood care in Long Island City: toddler (1-3 yrs) and preschool (3-5 yrs) programs in a licensed center.
  • The child care voucher program makes high-quality care more affordable for eligible families — reducing financial stress while you work or study.
  • Our center supports your child’s whole development — emotional, physical, educational — and we welcome families using voucher assistance.

Important Note for Families

  • Although child care vouchers are available year-round, funding is limited. At times, new applications (especially for non-cash-assistance families) may face waitlists.
  • Your child’s space in the program is subject to availability — so we encourage scheduling a tour and submitting necessary paperwork as soon as possible.
  • The voucher covers care only at approved providers. Make sure that when you select Building Brilliance, the voucher is assigned to our center and the provider paperwork is completed.
